Publishing Your Book
Shouldn't Be Complicated.
You wrote the book. That was supposed to be the hard part.
Then you started looking into publishing and discovered query letters, literary agents, author platforms, submission guidelines, social media expectations...and a whole lot of waiting.
Maybe you looked into publishing it yourself. Now you're learning about ISBNs, trim sizes, cover specs, formatting, distribution, metadata, and a dozen other things you never wanted to become an expert in.
You just want to publish your book.
I get it. That's pretty much why I'm here.
Publishing Made Personal
Your Story Isn't Just Another Project
I don’t take on every manuscript that comes my way. I choose books and authors I believe are a good fit, because if I’m helping bring your story into the world, I want to be invested in it. I’ll know your story, your goals, and why it matters to you. And when you have a question, you’ll call me.
I Handle the Technical Stuff
Cover design, formatting, ebook conversion, ISBNs, distribution, and all those little details you didn't know you would need to think about.
I make sure it all gets done, but it's still your book. You'll see, review, and approve the important decisions along the way.
No Surprise Costs
The price you see isn't a starting point for a bunch of add-ons.
You'll know what your book will cost to publish before we begin and exactly what's included.
Your Book Stays Yours
Your book. Your rights. Your royalties. Always.
Your Book. Out in the World.
Distribution through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, independent bookstores, libraries, schools and online retailers worldwide.
Your Path to Publication
Most Books Published in 60–90 Days
-
Complete the short questionnaire and send me the first three chapters. I’ll personally review your submission and get back to you within 3–5 business days. Because waiting sucks. If I think we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule a conversation and talk about your book.
-
We’ll talk about your book, what you want from it, and when you’d like to see it published. Then we’ll figure out which publishing package actually makes sense for you. Before we start, you’ll know exactly what’s included, what it costs, and what happens next. Because no one likes a hard sell.
-
This is where you get the fun decisions and I get to work creating your book. You’ll choose your cover, your book size and paper, and decide how you want the finished book to look and feel. If your package includes editing, that happens here too. I want you to relax. Because I know what it’s like to hand over your baby and hope someone else cares about it as much as you do. I do.
-
Here it is. Your book. Before anything goes live, you'll get the final files to look over from cover to cover. Check the cover, flip through the pages, read it one more time if you want to. We'll take care of any final corrections, and nothing gets published until you give the green light.
-
This is it. Your book goes live and is officially out in the world. People can search for it, buy it, read it, and hopefully tell everyone they know about it. After all the writing, rewriting, second-guessing and work that got you here, you finally get to say it: I’m a published author.

I’ve Been Where You Are
I'm Laurie, an author and the founder
of Englewrite Press. I created this company because I know firsthand how confusing publishing can be. I wanted to create the kind of experience I want for myself: personal, straightforward, professional, and built around the book, not the upsell.
